Facing Change
Still sorting through the last couple piles of papers discovered while
cleaning my home office last week (I might tackle church office later
this week, if I have a chance). A couple pieces of paper are simply
quotes that I ran into at some time. I quick grabbed a piece of paper,
wrote them down and either didn’t have a chance to write the
attribution, or it wasn’t with the seen source. This one is
appropriate since my thoughts with myself and in talking to folks have
been centered on dealing with the changes of life. If memory serves me
correctly, I found this on a small wall hanging in an office
corridor. No attribution known. If you know the source, email me, I
will gladly include it.
Change
is in irresistable force
that sometimes reshapes our lives
bringing new challenges and goals
new commitments to be made.
You can use change to your advantage
By letting it move you
to a new a wonderful place
You never would have thought to go.
My thoughts keep coming back to one of my mantras: maturity is neither
easy nor automatic. We all face changes, but we don’t always grow from
them. To do that we must open our minds, souls, and hearts to new
opportunities and new challenges.
Easier said than done. Much easier said than done.
Blessings,
David
